The First Winter

2025

I grew up in Southern California with my family, my whole life spent in warmth and sunshine. The summer of 2025 everyone moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota while I was finishing my undergraduate degree in Arizona. The First Winter shows a place of unfamiliarity through the winter season. Representing the cold, emotional discomfort of a new space and the attempt at finding warmth through what I know in this transitional period. This photographic collection is my understanding of home  in a new state and a new era of my life.
